About Imam Khomeini Hospital
Imam Khomeini Academic Medical Center was launched on November, 2018 (Aban, 1397) in a land with an area of 30,000 square meters and more than 15,000 square meters of infrastructure, with 216 beds and 515 staff and provide services in the fields of cardiovascular, obstetrics, children and infants. This specialized center works as the northern block of the province and the only specialized center of the Khoy County which is ready to provide medical services to clients.

Gynecological surgery

The gynecology surgery ward has 24 beds (4 single rooms (VIP), 4 double rooms and 3 quadruple rooms). Surgical patients in this ward include cesarean section, curettage, laparotomy, ectopic pregnancy, diagnostic curettage, rectocele cystocele, abdominal hysterectomy, vaginal hysterectomy, postpartum rupture, vaginal trauma, Bartholin's cyst, myomectomy, tubal resection, cervical cerclage, and polypectomy.

Midwifery

The midwifery ward has 24 beds (4 single rooms (VIP), 4 double rooms and 3 quadruple rooms). The cases that are hospitalized in this ward are pregnant mothers under observation, diabetic, hypertension, pyelonephritis, possibility of bleeding and drainage, surgical site infection, post-operative complications, curettage, curettage candidate and Cs candidate.

The neonatal ward has 25 beds (2 double rooms, and 3 quadruple rooms and more). In this unit, diagnostic and therapeutic measures are performed for infants less than one year old. The most important neonatal diseases that receive services in this section are jaundice, premature infants and IUGR, respiratory problems and infections in the neonatal period, Post NICU infants, etc. Furthermore, there is a rest room with amenities for breastfeeding in this unit.

The pediatric ward has 24 beds (5 single rooms (VIP), 3 double rooms, and 3 quadruple rooms and more). Children admitted to this ward include patients with gastroenteritis, pneumonia, Croup syndrome, fever and seizures, urinary tract infection, malnutrition, dysentery and meningitis, etc.

Pediatric 2

Men's cardiovascular ward on the first floor has 24 beds (4 single rooms, 4 double rooms and 3 quadruple rooms) with modern facilities and equipment (8 beds equipped with monitoring) to care for patients transferred from CCU, emergency department, cardiovascular clinic, and private offices. In this ward, the necessary therapeutic procedures are provided for patients with chronic heart diseases, chest pain, shortness of breath, high blood pressure, as well as follow-up treatment of patients in other centers (dispatch for angiography), etc.

Women's Cardiovascular Ward

The delivery ward has a single room, 3 double rooms and 2 triple rooms, and natural childbirth services (labor, delivery and postpartum), maternal hemorrhage care and pregnancy care are provided. Physiologic birth training classes are also available in this hospital.

(Coronary Care Unit) CCU

This ward has seven beds equipped with monitoring, medical equipment, and echocardiography. Common diseases include stable and unstable angina, acute coronary syndrome (ACS), congestive heart failure (CHF), stroke, pulmonary thromboembolism and pulmonary edema, dangerous dysrhythmias, patients with acute warfarin and digoxin poisoning, hypertension up and, etc.

(Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) CCU

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) has 10 beds and neonates need intensive care are admitted to this ward. Common neonatal diseases treated in this ward include premature infants and IUGR, RDS, pneumothorax, seizures, congenital heart disease, congenital anomalies, neonatal jaundice, meconium aspiration, etc.
